Lucy is an experienced, friendly and creative primary teacher, who has taught children in the UK and abroad. Lucy completed a four year teaching degree in Brighton and since then has taught across the primary age phase working with children of all abilities including SEN. Lucy has worked in schools in London, Brighton, Indonesia, Cambodia and Italy.
She was inspired to become a teacher after writing and directing a musical for GCSE students in a secondary school. Lucy has had extensive experience with teaching the core subjects in the primary curriculum and has a huge passion for the arts. She has organised art exhibitions and has co-ordinated productions and performances in schools. Lucy enjoys encouraging children to use their imagination and stretching them to their full potential in exciting, artistic and dynamic ways. She has had experience as an Early years co-ordinator, Science leader and a volunteer education advisor to a local hospital in Cambodia.
Lucy loves to travel and learn new languages and cultures. Whilst teaching abroad, Lucy gained experience teaching students on a one to one basis to help improve their English reading and writing. Last year, Lucy gave birth to a baby girl so currently spends most of her time with her daughter Jasmine. Art and yoga are big interests for Lucy and she is currently studying for a drawing and painting course.
