Kate is a very friendly and patient tutor with over a decade’s experience working with adults and young people both in a classroom setting and one to one tuition. She has worked in mainstream primary and secondary education covering a variety of subjects and has a huge amount of experience working with SEN children. She spent 4 years working with children with Autism as well as working one to one helping students with dyslexia.
As well as a professional storyteller Kate runs a successful theatre company. She is a published short story writer, a national champion at English speaking and regularly runs workshops on Shakespeare, voice work, acting technique and story telling.
Her approach to learning is based on the understanding that each child learns differently. She uses creative methods to explain, ignite discussion and inspire those that she teaching. She believes that it is through confidence building and encouragement of self expression that people thrive. She has found success in focusing on each student’s individuality prompting them to think independently, to express their ideas and to build on their passions.
