A local South Londoner, Julien attended Milbourne Lodge Senior School before gaining a top academic and art scholarship to Tonbridge School in Kent. There, he earned 9 A*s and 3 As at GCSE and 4 As at A Level (prior to A*s being awarded) in English Literature, Spanish, Latin and Classical Greek. He then went on to study Spanish and Italian at Cambridge, and eventually left with a Double First after spending a year in Barcelona studying Fine Art.Being of mixed heritage, Julien is passionate about languages, as well as literature and writing. Prior to teaching he worked for six years as an awarded copywriter for leading advertising agencies in London. Alongside his current tutoring, he is pursuing a career in writing for TV and film, with his scripts currently in circulation with literary agencies, production companies and management companies in the UK and the US. Julien believes excelling academically is often a question of confidence and prides himself on helping his students find the best in themselves.
