Jasmin is an engaging and enthusiastic tutor who enjoys helping students reach their potential by using gentle encouragement to find the best teaching method suitable for each person. She likes to establish a relaxed atmosphere where curiosity is nurtured and students are not afraid to ask questions or make mistakes.
Having studied Mechanical Engineering at the University of Nottingham, gaining a 2.1 BEng HONS, Jasmin is now finishing a degree in the Conservation of Historic Objects at City and Guilds of London Art School. For her final year, she is conserving Indian muskets from the 1850s, a plaster cast from the V&A collection and writing a thesis on the application of 3D printing to the conservation of kinetic sculpture. Her studies have ranged from mathematics, mechanics, art, science, chemistry and history of art. At A-level she studied Art, Mathematics and Classical Civilisation, receiving A*AB respectively, and attained 12 GCSEs A*-B. Her GSCE grades and artistic portfolio helped her gain a full scholarship to Emanuel School in Clapham, London.
Passionate about learning, Jasmin likes to inspire students to enjoy their subjects and explore their interests. This she believes will help them gain the grades they want and hopefully continue this trend through their academic lives. Having studied a wide range of subjects across her own career, Jasmin feels confident in in her abilities with regards to academic skills and helping build a portfolio for admissions or scholarships.
