Jack is a curious and intelligent tutor, who focuses on establishing a productive, as well as a unique, relationship with his students.
Having achieved straight A’s at GCSE, Jack went onto study English Literature, Maths, and Further Maths at A Level. He graduated from Oxford University with a BA in English Literature in 2015, and has since tutored students in a range of disciplines.
Familiar with the AQA, Edexcel, and WJEC, exam syllabus’ Jack is well practiced in focused learning. However, having a naturally inquisitive mind he believes in taking a more holistic approach so as to foster a passion for the content – that tends to accompany better results as well as placing ideas in the context of other subjects of study.
Jack being dyslexic also has developed a variety of techniques to streamline learning for students who have problems with concentration and fatigue. In addition, his diagnosis means he has a greater understanding and patience for students that take longer to absorb material.
His interests are racket sports, fashion, philosophy, and music.
“My son got a scholarship (we found out today), so we are very grateful for all Emmanuel did. My son really enjoyed the tutorials; they gave him confidence and polished his exam technique.”
Tom Fenton is a marvellous tutor, striking a perfect balance of erudition, encouragement, judicious pressure, kindness and humour. His work with my daughter produced stellar results in the form of three scholarships; I can’t recommend him too highly.
