Cerise worked throughout her Bachelors degree and Masters as a nanny and in a wide variety of schools as a one-to-one tutor for students who were falling behind, and as a consultant and trainer for teachers and support staff in how to engage and involve pupils in their education. During this period she worked with students of all ages and some SEN students, most often working with student who have dyspraxia and/or dyslexia. She has found that the best way to improve a student’s educational experience is to include them in it, benefiting both the relationship between school and the pupil and their grades. She currently still runs training sessions for teachers and staff and helps set up pupil leadership initiatives in schools.
She has mainly tutored primary students with SEN but is also interested in 7+, 11+ and 13+, Maths and English up to G.C.S.E and English A Levels. She also has tutored students in general essay writing skills and exam technique for English G.C.S.E’s.
“My son got a scholarship (we found out today), so we are very grateful for all Emmanuel did. My son really enjoyed the tutorials; they gave him confidence and polished his exam technique.”
Tom Fenton is a marvellous tutor, striking a perfect balance of erudition, encouragement, judicious pressure, kindness and humour. His work with my daughter produced stellar results in the form of three scholarships; I can’t recommend him too highly.
