Beatrice is a friendly, nurturing tutor who believes confidence is key. She graduated in English Literature from Durham University, with a first class dissertation on representations of the warrior woman in literature. This is supported by strong A2 Levels in English Literature (A*), History (A), Philosophy of Religion and Religious Ethics (A), and Theatre Studies (A*), as well as 10 A* grades at GCSE, including Maths and Science.
Having worked with children across a wide age range, Beatrice has consistently found that encouragement and positivity are the key tools of a good tutor. She endeavours to work through problem areas with her students, framing stumbling blocks as new opportunities for learning. Every child learns in a different manner, and Beatrice works hard to ensure that she supports each of her students in a way that works for them, encouraging them to find their own path through a subject.
When Beatrice isn’t busy with tutoring, she works as an actor and writer. Her work focuses on bringing light to forgotten or elusive historical figures, and she has had the privilege of playing some extraordinary historical characters.
