Anoushka is a friendly and passionate tutor with over 8 years’ experience of working with students from primary school through to undergraduate level. She studied Russian and Italian at St Peter’s College, Oxford and is an alumnus of the French Lycee in London. Anoushka believes that the most effective way to help her students achieve their potential in exams and in schoolwork is to understand their motivations and interests and to engage with them as individuals, in order to foster a real passion for and confidence in what they are working on together. To date, all of Anoushka’s students have surpassed or achieved their predicted grades at GCSE and A Level and she has been instrumental in helping a variety of students obtain places at Westminster, Godolphin, St Paul’s (boys) and City of London as well as helping older students obtain places at Oxford and Cambridge.
In tandem with her tutoring career, Anoushka has pursued a career in theatre and music: she has worked as a musician, singer, actress and composer in theatres such as the Globe, Regent’s Park Open Air theatre, the Park, the Bush and Theatre Royal Stratford East, as well as having her songs featured on Radio 2 and Jazz Fm. She is currently recording her debut album and preparing to take a musical she has co-written to the NAMT festival in New York.
“My son got a scholarship (we found out today), so we are very grateful for all Emmanuel did. My son really enjoyed the tutorials; they gave him confidence and polished his exam technique.”
Tom Fenton is a marvellous tutor, striking a perfect balance of erudition, encouragement, judicious pressure, kindness and humour. His work with my daughter produced stellar results in the form of three scholarships; I can’t recommend him too highly.
