Alex is an enthusiastic, creative and nurturing tutor who is also a fully qualified teacher. He has taught extensively in a classroom setting in a full-time role and is currently working in a range of schools across London. In lesson observations he has been consistently graded as ‘outstanding’, and he teaches weekly at a school ranked in the top fifteen in the country. Alex graduated with a first class honours degree in Civil Engineering and then turned his talents to teaching, gaining a PGCE from the University of Gloucestershire. Following this he gained a distinction level Masters of Education, with his dissertation focusing upon boosting the attainment of a small group of lower-achieving pupils.
Teaching every year group across the primary curriculum, Alex has wide experience of the expected levels of attainment, how to ‘close the gap’ for those who need it and how to extend higher achieving pupils. He has also assisted many different classes in their SATs preparation and is keen to find the most appropriate and effective way to meet each learner’s individual needs, helping them to thrive in their learning with passion and success.
